  • Description: Unger German Gottlieb (b. 1759 in Danzig, d. 1807). From 1773, he studied under his father, a goldsmith. In 1777, he was a journeyman; in 175? (likely 1785), a guild master silversmith in St. Petersburg; in 1799, an alderman. He had a workshop in 1800 with 5 apprentices, worked for the court, and was an outstanding master.
