  • Description: Pavel Akimov Ovchinnikov, founder of a gold and silverware factory in 1853; in the early years, it employed 90 masters and 50 apprentices, had 7 hand-operated machines and three furnaces; in 1870, the annual turnover was 250,000 rubles; in 1881, 300 people, including 130 apprentices; in 1882, he received the title of Purveyor to the Court; this factory was the first to produce items in the Old Russian style; the factory's affairs were continued by the founder's heirs: Mikhail, Alexander, Pavel, and Nikolai Pavlovich; the factory was still known in 1916. The mark is oval in shape, depicting the master's initials "P.O", with the letters separated by a dot in the lower part of the mark.
