Description: August Wilhelm Holstrom (born 1829 in Helsingfors) apprenticed under jeweler Herold in St. Petersburg, became a journeyman in 1850, a master goldsmith and jeweler from 1857, purchased a workshop in 1857 and worked for the firm "Fabergé" as its chief jeweler; his workshop was inherited by his adopted son Albert Holstrom (born 1876, died 1925).
