    In the central part - the inscription: «GROSZE». Above the inscription - the denomination numeral 3. Below the inscription - the issue date «1837». Along the edge arc of the coin is depicted a wreath of laurel and oak branches, tied at the bottom with a ribbon in a bow knot.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is depicted the State Emblem of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle, whose heads are crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the Moscow coat of arms - a shield depicting St. George the Victorious slaying a dragon with a spear. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. On the wings are depicted the titular coats of arms: on the right — Kazan, Astrakhan and Siberian, on the left — Polish, Taurican and Finnish. In the eagle's right talon is a scepter, in the left an orb. Below the right talon is the letter «M», below the left — the letter «W». Denotes the Warsaw Mint.
