Along the edge arc are decorative elements in the form of dentils.
Obverse The central part depicts the coat of arms of the Mexican Republic: an eagle perched on a cactus, holding a snake in its beak. In the upper part, along the edge arc, is the name of the state 'ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS' (United Mexican States). Below are branches of oak and laurel, tied with a ribbon forming a bow. Along the rim are elements in the form of dentils.
