Reverse
The central part features a stylized depiction of fortress gates. Above it is a schematically rendered map. Along the left arc of the coin's edge are five arrows pointing right, and on the right are arrows of varying lengths pointing right, above which is the Ukrainian inscription "70 РОКIВ" (70 years). Along the lower edge arc are two arrows. Above them is the Ukrainian inscription "КОРСУНЬ - ШЕВЧЕНКIВСЬКА БИТВА" (Korsun-Shevchenkovsky Battle).
Obverse
The central part, in color, features the numbers "1944", denoting the date of the Korsun-Shevchenkovsky Battle in WWII. Below are the numbers "2014" - the issue date. At the top is a stylized depiction of a field of daisies. At the bottom is a relief image of a star placed on a laurel wreath, which is encircled by a ribbon. Along the upper arc of the coin's edge, from left to right, is the Ukrainian inscription "НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ" (National Bank of Ukraine). The inscription is divided in the center by the coat of arms of Ukraine - a trident on a shield. Along the lower rim is the inscription "Двадцять гривень" (Twenty hryvnias).
