Reverse
The central part of the reverse features a relief depiction of the monument erected in the Moscow Kremlin, surrounded by an open gallery, under a canopy — a statue depicting Emperor Alexander II standing on a pedestal in porphyry, with a scepter in his left hand. To the left, a two-line inscription in a semicircle: «ИМПЕРАТОРОМЪ АЛЕКСАНДРОМЪ III | ЗАЛОЖЕНЪ ВЪ 1893 ГОДУ» (LAID BY EMPEROR ALEXANDER III IN 1893); a similar inscription to the right: «ИМПЕРАТОРОМЪ НИКОЛАЕМЪ II | ОТКРЫТЪ ВЪ 1898 ГОДУ» (OPENED BY EMPEROR NICHOLAS II IN 1898). In the truncation of the neck, the medallist's initials: «А Г» — Avraam Griliches. The rim is decorated with dots.
