Reverse The central part features the monogram of Catherine II. Above the monogram is the Imperial crown. On either side of the monogram are the digits of the coin's year of issue: '17' on the left and the second part '89' on the right. In the left part of the coin, along the circumference near the rim, runs a laurel branch, and in the right part, a palm branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. The coin's border is executed as denticles.
Obverse The central part of the obverse features St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). Beneath the horse are the letters 'K' and 'M'. Along the lower edge is a curved banner bearing the denomination of the coin: ПОЛꙊШКА
