In the central part are the outlines of an eight-pointed star. Inside is a large number 50, below it the inscription in Kazakh "ТИЫН", in the right ray the symbols "ҚҰБ" of the Kazakhstan Mint. In the two lower facets of the star is the year of minting "1993". In the other six facets are decorative elements of national ornament.
Obverse
Kazakhstan — "КАЗАКСТАН . РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ", below — three raised elements in the form of dots. In the central part is the state emblem of the country: a shanyrak (the upper domed part of a yurt) in the form of a crosspiece inscribed in a circle, from which support rays radiate in different directions, surrounded on the sides by mythical winged horses, tulpars. At the top between the wings is a five-pointed star, at the bottom the name of the country "КАЗАКСТАН".
