    In the central part of the disc, against a background of graphic stadium contours, is a stylized relief image of the official Universiade mascot in the form of a running winged snow leopard kitten with a torch—the national symbol of the Republic of Tatarstan. Below right is the Universiade logo (a four-line inscription: 'UNIVERSIADE KAZAN 2013 RUSSIA', executed in fonts of different sizes, with five small stars beneath it) and the Universiade emblem (a stylized graphic image of a tulip), located to the left of the logo.

    At the top along the rim are the words BANK OF RUSSIA, at the bottom the year of minting '2013'. On the left side is an olive branch, and on the right an oak branch. The central part indicates the denomination—the number '10', and below it the currency unit—'RUBLE'. Inside the digit '0', depending on the viewing angle, one can see the inscriptions '10' and 'RUB'. Above the minting year is the mint mark 'SPMD' (Saint Petersburg Mint).
