    The denomination is indicated on three lines (with quatrefoils on the left and right), the monetary unit, and the year of minting: ✤ 2 ✤ KOPEYKI 1854. Below is a divider of two ornamental lines with a dot between them. Immediately beneath it is the abbreviation 'V.M.' (Warsaw Mint).
  • Obverse
    The center of the obverse features a double-headed eagle—the coat of arms of the Russian Empire. Both eagle heads bear crowns, and a larger third crown is positioned between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. The coats of arms on the wings: Left wing: Polish, Taurida, Finnish. Right wing: Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian. The right talon holds a scepter, and the left holds an orb. The rim is decorated with denticles pointing inward.
