The center of the obverse features a crowned double-headed eagle. On its breast is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland, under a royal crown and canopy. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter and sword, and below it is the initial 'I•'. In its left talon, an orb is visible, with the initial 'B•' below it. Together, the letters indicate the mintmaster, Jakub Benik.
