Obverse The center of the obverse features a crowned double-headed eagle. On its chest is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland, under a royal crown and canopy. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter and a sword, and below it is the initial 'I•'. In its left talon, an orb is visible, and below it the initial 'B•'. Together, the letters indicate the mintmaster Jacub Benik.
