    In the central part on the right are large numerals '10', below them a two-line inscription in English 'EURO / CENT' – meaning 'ten euro cents'. To the right of the ten is the engraver's mark of Luc Luycx 'LL'. In the central part on the left are the outlines of the eurozone countries. From them, six vertical parallel lines extend upwards and downwards, ending in 12 stars.
  • Obverse
    Around the edge of the coin are 12 stars of the European Union. In the central part is an image of Marianne the Sower. To her left are horizontal stripes, among which the mint year '2001' is placed. To the right of the girl's figure are six vertical stripes, against their background the symbols 'RF' – the French mark on European Union coins. Between the stripes at the top is a horizontal inscription in French with the name of the artist Louis Oscar Roty – 'L.JORIO d`ap. O.ROTY'. At the level of Marianne's feet, on the left is the mark of the Paris Mint (cornucopia), on the right – that of its chief engraver Pierre Rodier (bee).
