In its right talon, the eagle holds a sword and scepter; in its left, an orb. On its breast is a cross, upon which rests the dynastic heraldic shield of Habsburg-Lorraine, encircled by a chain. Below the shield are the empire's highest orders. Along the edge of the coin, an inscription in Latin reads: «HVN:BOH:GAL:REX∙A:A:LO:WI:ET IN FR:DVX∙1815∙» (King of Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia, Archduke of Austria, Lodomeria, Würzburg, Duke of Franconia 1815). The rim is decorated with decorative denticles.

Along the edge of the coin, from left to right, runs a Latin inscription: «FRANCISCVS I:D:G:AVSTRIAE IMPERATOR∙» (Francis I, by the Grace of God, Emperor of Austria). Below is the Latin letter «C» – the mint mark of Prague. The rim features decorative raised denticles.
