In the upper part, against the background of a banner, is a depiction of V. I. Lenin. To the left of the banner are the monument commemorating the outstanding achievements of the Soviet people in space exploration and a model of an atom. Below the banner are the cruiser 'Aurora' and, against a laurel branch, the dates '1917' and '1977', separated by a hammer and sickle.
