Reverse The central part features the denomination '2'. Below it is the name of the monetary unit: 'КОПѢЙКИ' (KOPEKS). Below the name are two pointed lines directed in opposite directions with a dot between them. Under the lines is the abbreviation 'Е.М.' (Yekaterinburg Mint).
Obverse The central part depicts the State Emblem of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle with wings spread and lowered. Above the eagle's heads is the imperial crown. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow - a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, intertwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Below the ribbon are the letters: 'Ф' on the left, 'Х' on the right. These are the initials of Mintmaster Fyodor Khvoshchinsky. Below the initials is the year of mintage '1833.'
