Reverse In the central part, there is an inscription—the word "КОПЕЙКА" (KOPEYKA). Above the inscription is the numeral "1.". Above the numeral is the counting mark for a kopek—a bordered dot placed on a five-line rim running along the edge. Below the inscription is a decorative line, and under it—the year of minting "1807.".
Obverse The center of the obverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle with wings spread. The eagle's heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is above and between the heads. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. Above the crown is the counting mark for a kopek—a bordered dot placed on a rim of five lines running near the edge. In the right talon is a scepter, and below it the letter "К". In the left talon is an orb, and below it the letter "М". Together the letters indicate the Suzun Mint.
