The central part features the denomination inscription 'ДЕНЬГА' (DENGA). Above the denomination is a six-pointed star. Above the star is the Imperial crown. Below the inscription is a straight line, under which is the mint mark 'K.M.'. Along the left edge of the coin is a laurel branch, and along the right edge is an oak branch. The branches are tied together at the base with a ribbon forming a neat bow. The entire edge of the coin is stamped with raised dots.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle with wings spread. The eagle's heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is placed above and between them. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow - a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'П', under the left talon is the letter 'Б'. These are the initials of mintmaster Petr Berezovsky. Below is the year of minting '1811.'. The rim is decorated with dots.
