Reverse
The central element of the coin's reverse is shifted left-upwards: the denomination 10 RUBLES is struck against a background of vertical lines. Horizontal lines inside the digit '0' reveal the number 10 and the word 'rub' when viewed from different angles. The left and lower-right parts of the coin feature intertwined scrolls of a flowering plant.
Obverse
At the top, along the rim, is the inscription 'TEN RUBLES'. In the center is a double-headed eagle with the semicircular inscription 'BANK OF RUSSIA' below it. Under the eagle's left foot is the mint mark 'MMD'. At the bottom edge is the year '2009'; above the year are two pointed, oppositely directed lines with a dot between them.
