Reverse Shifted left-upwards, the central element of the coin's reverse: the denomination 10 RUBLES is struck against a background of vertical lines. Inside the digit '0' are horizontal lines; when viewed from different angles, the number 10 and the word 'rub' become visible. In the left and right-lower parts of the coin are intertwined scrolls of a flowering plant.
Obverse At the top along the rim (edge) is the coin's denomination 'TEN RUBLES'. In the center of the coin is a double-headed eagle and below it, arranged in a semicircle, the words 'BANK OF RUSSIA'. Under the eagle's left foot is the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'MMD'. At the bottom near the coin's edge is the year of mintage '2009'; above the year are two pointed, oppositely directed lines with a dot.
