Reverse The center of the coin is occupied by the monogram of Empress Catherine II Alexeevna the Great. Above it is the crown of the Russian Empire. To the left of the monogram is the first part of the minting year—'17', and to the right the second—'95'. In the left part of the coin, along the edge of the rim, runs a laurel branch, and in the right part, a palm branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. The coin's border is made in the form of denticles.
Obverse In the central part of the obverse is St. George the Victorious on horseback, striking a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). Between the horse and the serpent, at a distance from each other, are the letters 'E' and 'M' (Yekaterinburg Mint). At the lower edge is a semicircular ribbon with the inscription: DVE • KOPEIKI
