The central part features the denomination inscription 'ДЕНЬГА'. Above the denomination is a six-pointed star. Above it is the Imperial crown. Below runs a horizontal line and the abbreviation 'С.П.Б.' (Saint Petersburg Mint). On the left side near the edge is a laurel branch, and on the right, an oak branch. The bases of the branches are tied together with a ribbon. The edge of the coin is decorated with raised dots.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle with wings spread. The eagle's heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow - a shield depicting Saint George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'М', under the left, the letter 'К'. These are the initials of mintmaster Mikhail Kleiner. Below is the year of issue '1811.'. The rim is decorated with dots.
