Reverse In the central part, the denomination is indicated in two lines: KOPEIKA. Below, the year of mintage is given in Old Slavonic: 1709. Above the inscription is a rosette of dots. Around the circumference, near the rim, runs the text: VSELѦ RUSSI SAMODERZHETS (Autocrat of All Russia).
Obverse In the central part of the obverse is St. George the Victorious on horseback, with a spear pointing to the lower right corner (no serpent). Beneath the rider are the mintmark letters 'BK' (Naberezhny Mint). Above the rider's head is a dot. Along the edge, from right to left, runs the text: TSAR I VELIKI KNYAZ PETR ALEKSEEVICH (Tsar and Grand Prince Peter Alexeevich).
