    The center of the coin is occupied by the monogram of the All-Russian Autocrat Elizabeth I Petrovna. Above it is the crown of the Russian Empire. The year of the coin's mintage is split into two parts. To the left of the monogram is the first part—'17', and to the right the second—'57'. Along the left edge of the coin is a laurel branch, and along the right edge a palm branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon forming a bow. The rim is decorated with dots.

    In the central part of the obverse—Saint George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). At the lower edge is a curved ribbon with the designation of the monetary unit: KOPEIKA. The rim is decorated with dots.
