Reverse
The central part features the denomination — the numeral 2. Above the numeral is the Imperial crown. Below the denomination numeral is a two-line inscription: KOPEYKI. Further below is a horizontal straight line and the abbreviation S.P.B. (Saint Petersburg Mint). At the left edge of the reverse is a laurel branch, and at the right edge is an oak branch. The bases of the branches are tied together with a ribbon. The edge of the coin is struck with relief denticles.
Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread. The eagle's heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is placed above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left — an orb. Below the right talon is the letter 'F', below the left talon is the letter 'G'. These are the initials of mintmaster Fedor Gelman. Below the initials is the year of minting '1810.'. The rim is decorated with denticles.
