Reverse

In the central part, the monogram of Catherine II. Above it, the imperial crown. The crown divides the circular inscription running along the rim to the left and right of the monogram: '3 DENGI 1771.'. In the lower part of the monogram, inside it and on the sides, three counting dots, also indicating the denomination. The border is decorated with denticles.

Obverse

In the central part, a double-headed eagle, on its chest are oval shields with the coats of arms of Moldavia (head of a bull with horns) and Wallachia (a bird standing on the ground with a cross in its beak). In the eagle's claws, a scepter and an orb. Above the eagle, the text: MOLD• PARA VOLO• Below the eagle — the mintmark 'S', denoting the private mint in Sadagura (Moldova). The border is decorated with denticles.
