    In the central part is the monogram of Catherine II. Above the monogram is the imperial crown. On both sides of the monogram are the digits of the coin's year of issue: on the left '17', and on the right the second part – '93'. In the left part of the coin, along the circumference of the rim, runs a laurel branch, and in the right part, a palm branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. The coin's border is executed as denticles.

    In the central part of the obverse is St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). At the lower edge is a curved ribbon with the denomination of the coin: ПОЛꙊШКА
