On the edge of the coin - two incused inscriptions 'THREE RUBLES', separated by two asterisks.

In the center, within a dotted circle, an image of the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin and the dome of the Senate Palace partially overlapping it with a waving flag. Inside the dotted circle on the right is the mint mark 'MMD' (Moscow Mint).
