  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is positioned above and between the eagle's heads. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Around the eagle is the inscription: VSIEROSISKII SAMODERZHETS 1710. On either side of the eagle's tail are the letters 'L-L'. These are the initials of the mintmaster Diterik LEEFFKIEN (Dietrich LEFFKEN—in Russian interpretation Timofei LEVKIN).
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the right-facing profile of Peter I, crowned with a laurel wreath. Around the portrait is the inscription: TSAR PETR ALEKSIEVICH. Below the portrait is the engraver's initial—the letter 'G' (Solomon Gouin).
