Inside the monogram, the first two digits of the minting year '17' are on the left, and '24' (1724) on the right, separated by the crossing point of the monogram's letters. Around the entire circumference of the coin's edge is an inscription, divided by four imperial crowns: МОНЕТА ♚ НОВАѦ ♚ ЦЕНА ♚ РꙊБЛЬ ♚. The edge of the coin features a twisted border.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features a right-facing profile portrait of Peter I, crowned with a laurel wreath. Around the portrait is the text: ПЕТРЪ А ИМПЕРАТОРЪ IСАМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОССИIСКИI. The rim appears as a braided rope.
