Along the edge of the coin are the following relief elements: at the top - the outline of an eight-pointed star; on the left, right, and bottom - national ornaments; to the left of the bottom ornament, the symbols 'ҚҰБ', to the right - the mintmark of the Kazakhstan Mint. In the central disc, against a reeded background, is the large number 100, below it an inscription in the Kazakh language 'TENGE'.

Along the edge of the coin on the left, top, and right is the Cyrillic inscription for the Republic of Kazakhstan - 'KAZAKSTAN RESPUBLIKASY', at the bottom the year of minting '2003', separated on both sides by relief elements in the form of dots. In the central part, on the left, is an image of the mythical snow leopard, on the right a national ornament element and a vertical inscription in the Kazakh language 'TENGE 10 ZHYL', translated as '10 YEARS OF TENGE'.
