Reverse
In the central part, there is an inscription—the word "КОПЕЕКЪ" (KOPEEKS). Above the inscription—the numeral "5.". Below the inscription—a decorative line, under it—the year of minting "1806.". Below that, the abbreviation "Е.М." (Yekaterinburg Mint). Closer to the edge, at equal distances from each other, five dots (indicating the coin's denomination) are struck, each encircled by two rings. The dots are placed on a rim of five lines running along the edge. One dot is above the denomination numeral, two others are on either side of the monetary unit name, and the last two dots are on the sides of the mintmark. The very edge of the coin features raised dots.
Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by a double-headed eagle—the coat of arms of the Russian Empire. Both eagle heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). A chain carrying the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called surrounds the shield. In the eagle's right talon is a scepter, and in the left—an orb. Along the edge of the obverse runs a rim of five lines, on which five massive raised dots (indicating the coin's denomination) are struck. Each dot is encircled by one ring. The border is decorated with denticles.
