Reverse The central part features a two-line inscription: КОПѢЙКИСЕРЕБРОМЪ. Above the inscription is the denomination designation—the numeral 2, flanked on both sides by floral rosettes. Below the inscription is a decorative divider consisting of two curved lines with a small rectangular rhombus between them. Slightly below this divider is the coin's year of mintage, 1840, under which is the abbreviation Е.М. (Yekaterinburg Mint). The entire edge of the coin is stamped with raised dots.
Obverse The center is occupied by the monogram of Emperor Nicholas I, crowned with an imperial crown. The border is decorated with large dots.
