The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, intertwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Under the ribbon are the letters: left "H", right "A". The initials of Mintmaster Nikolai Alekseev. Under the initials is the year of mintage "1838.".
