On the eagle's breast, beneath a crown and canopy, is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland (a crowned single-headed eagle). In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter and a sword, and in its left, an orb. Below each talon are the initials 'I•' and 'B•', indicating Mintmaster Jakub Benik (J. Benik). Below the eagle is the year of mintage, '1820', bounded on both sides by two six-pointed stars. Around the eagle is the text: 50 ZŁOT• POLSK• 26 Z GRZ• CZ• KOL. The rim is decorated with dots.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features the right-facing profile of Russian Emperor Alexander I. At the top is a six-pointed star, visually marking the beginning of the inscription: ALEXANDER I CESARZ SA• W• ROS• KRÓL POLSKI (Translation: 'Alexander I, Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia, King of Poland'). The rim is decorated with dots.
