The upper part of the coin features the imperial crown. Below it, in the center, is the denomination numeral 2. Further down is the name of the monetary unit, split into two lines: KOPѢЙ KI. Below the name is a straight line and the abbreviation 'E.M.' (Ekaterinburg Mint). On the left side near the edge is a laurel branch, and on the right side, an oak branch. The bases of the branches are tied together with a ribbon. Raised dots are stamped along the coin's edge.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire – a double-headed eagle with wings spread. The eagle's heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is positioned above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow – a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'I', under the left talon is the letter 'SH'. These are the initials of mintmaster Ivan Shevkunov. Below the initials is the year of minting '1825'. The rim is decorated with dots.
