Below is a divider consisting of two ornamental lines with a dot between them. Immediately beneath it is the abbreviation 'E.M.' (Yekaterinburg Mint).
Obverse The center of the obverse features a double-headed eagle, the coat of arms of the Russian Empire. Both eagle heads bear crowns, with a larger third crown between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The shield is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. The coats of arms on the wings are: Left wing: Polish, Taurian, Finnish. Right wing: Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian. The eagle holds a scepter in its right talon and an orb in its left. The rim is decorated with denticles pointing inward.
