On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, intertwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Under the ribbon are the letters: on the left "F", on the right "Kh". The initials of Mintmaster Fyodor Khvoshchinsky. Under the initials is the year of minting "1830."
