    The center of the coin is occupied by the monogram of the Autocrat of All Russia, Elizabeth I Petrovna. Above it is the crown of the Russian Empire. The year of the coin's minting is split into two parts. To the left of the monogram is the first part — '17', and to the right the second — '57'. Along the left edge of the coin is a laurel branch, and along the right edge a palm branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon forming a bow.

    In the central part of the obverse — St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). Above the central image, the inscription in a semicircle reads — '•DVE••KOPEIKI•'.
