Reverse In the central part, a three-line inscription: 5 PENNIÄ 1917. The rim is decorated with patterned denticles.
Obverse In the central part, the full Coat of Arms of the Grand Duchy of Finland, 1917 pattern, is depicted — a double-headed eagle without crowns. On its breast is a shield with the titular coat of arms of the Grand Prince of Finland, topped by a princely crown. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left — an orb. Closer to the edge runs a continuous straight rim. The border is decorated with denticles pointing towards the center.
