Reverse The central part features the denomination in two lines: ПОЛУШКА. Below it, the year of mintage is indicated in Old Slavonic: 1700. The central image is surrounded by a linear circle. Outside the circle is the inscription: ВСЕѦ• РОСIИ• САМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ (Autocrat of All Russia). The inscription is interrupted at the top by a stylized cross made of dots and lines. The border is decorated with dots.
Obverse The center of the obverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle. Both eagle heads bear crowns, and a larger third crown is placed between them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. The coat of arms is surrounded by a linear circle. Outside the circle is the text: ЦРЬ• ПЕТРЪ• АЛЕѯIЕВИЧЪ (Tsar Peter Alexeevich). The border consists of dots.
