The central part features a cartouche decorated with vignettes, with two laurel branches on either side and a floral rosette above. Below the cartouche are two crossed palm branches tied with a ribbon (bow). Inside the cartouche is a three-line inscription indicating the denomination and year of minting: ДЕНГА1739. Between the denomination and the year of issue are two straight lines.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by a simplified version of the coat of arms of the Russian Empire—the traditional double-headed eagle, but executed without complex elements. Both heads of the eagle bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is positioned above between the heads. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb.
