    Along the upper edge of the coin from left to right are the words '500TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNIFIED RUSSIAN STATE'. In the center is the sculpture of the angel crowning the Alexander Column in St. Petersburg. To the left of the angel is a portrait of Napoleon I, to the right is a portrait of Alexander I. At the bottom along the rim are the words 'PATRIOTIC WAR 1812'.

    In the upper part of the coin is the State Emblem of the USSR, encircled by a ribbon (15 turns), below it the letters 'USSR'. Below, left and right, is a line. Under the line on the left are the chemical designation 'Pt' and the fineness 999 of the metal from which the coin is made, below them the pure weight of the precious metal '15.55'. Under the line on the right is the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'LMD'. Slightly lower is the coin's denomination, the numeral '150', and below it the word 'RUBLES'. At the edge of the lower part is the year of mintage '1991'.
