In the upper and right parts of the coin, a two-line inscription in German: '150 JAHRE DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT ZUR RETTUNG SCHIFFBRÜCHIGER' ('150 Years of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service'). In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of the organization's stylized emblem: a cross, one end of which is depicted as a boat. Near the rim, between the rays of the cross, are the artist's initials 'JD' - Joachim Dimanski.
Obverse
In the right part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the country name and year of issue in German: 'BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND 2015'. On the left are twelve five-pointed stars – the 'Stars of the European Union'. Above is a two-line inscription: '10 EURO'. In the central part is a stylized depiction of the national symbol of the Federal Republic of Germany: a heraldic eagle facing left.
