    In the upper and right parts of the coin, a two-line inscription in German: '150 JAHRE DEUTSCHE GESELLSCHAFT ZUR RETTUNG SCHIFFBRÜCHIGER' ('150 Years of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service'). In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of the organization's stylized emblem: a cross, one end of which is depicted as a boat. Near the rim, between the rays of the cross, are the artist's initials 'JD' - Joachim Dimanski.
