Obverse
In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination "THREE RUBLES", slightly lower on the left is the metal designation from Mendeleev's periodic table Ag and fineness 900, lower in the center is the mintage year "2001", lower on the right is the precious metal weight in pure content 31.10 and the manufacturer's (mint) designation "MMD". In the central part of a characteristic dotted rim is a double-headed eagle, and below it is stamped the name of the coin's issuer "BANK OF RUSSIA".
