  • Reverse
    In the central part, an inscription in four lines: 3РУБЛЯ.20ZLOTYCH. The numeral 3 is flanked on both sides by floral rosettes. Below the inscription is the year of mintage — 1835. In the upper part of the reverse, an inscription follows the arc: ЧИСТАГО ЗОЛОТА 81 ДОЛЯ (Pure Gold 81 Dolya). The rim is decorated with denticles pointing towards the center.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two coronets, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the Moscow coat of arms, depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, spearing a dragon (the dragon's head is on the right). Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. The coats of arms on the wings: Left wing: Polish, Taurida, Finnish. Right wing: Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian. In the right talon is a scepter, above it the letter 'M'. In the left talon is an orb, above it the letter 'W'. Together the letters indicate the Warsaw Mint. The rim is decorated with denticles pointing towards the center.
