The center features the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads crowned, with a larger third crown above and between the heads. Around the eagle is the inscription: ПОЛꙊПОЛЪТИННИКЪ ҂АѰЕ (1705). The rim is decorated with dots.
Obverse
The center of the obverse features the right-facing profile of Peter I, crowned with a laurel wreath. Around the portrait is the inscription: ЦРЬ ПЕТРЪ АЛЕѯIЕВИЧЪ ВСЕѦ РОСIИ ПОВЕлiтель. The engraver's initial — the letter 'H' (Gottfried Haupt) — is in the sleeve. The rim is decorated with dots.
