The center is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads wearing crowns, with a larger third crown above and between the heads. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Under the right wing is the letter 'M', under the left wing the letter 'D'. The mintmark of the Kadash Mint. Around the eagle, the inscription: ПОЛꙊПОЛЪТИННИКЪ ҂АѰД (1704). The rim is decorated with dots.
